At the initiation of few individuals, on November 1, 2014, Hibret (literally translated as “United”) Association was established in the Greater Philadelphia area to help individuals and families during death, emergencies or family financial crisis. Moreover, Hibret aims to unite Ethiopians in the area regardless of their ethnic, political, religious or cultural differences. Hibret Association is currently registered as a charitable organization under IRS section 501(C) (3). Generally, Hibret Association has been established to fund projects which fall into the following categories.Children, women and families in case of death, crisis or other family emergency
Individuals who are permanently ill, disabled, or under hospice care Our youth in their education and Other non-profit organizations in their non-profit projects.
